Imposter — Privacy Policy

Imposter is a local-multiplayer party game. This policy explains what information the app handles and how.

Information we collect

• Display name. The name you type when joining a game. It is visible to the other players in your game room and is stored on our game server (Google Firebase) only while the room exists. Rooms are deleted when the host closes the game. Use any name you like — it does not need to identify you.
• Random device identifier. The app generates a random ID on your device so you can rejoin a game if the app restarts. It is not linked to your identity and never leaves your device except to identify you within a game room.

The app has no accounts, no sign-in, and does not collect your email, contacts, location, or photos. The camera is used only to scan a game QR code, and camera images are never stored or transmitted.

Advertising

The app shows banner ads served by Google AdMob. Ads are requested as non-personalized. AdMob may still collect certain device information (such as device identifiers and coarse network information) for fraud prevention, frequency capping, and aggregate reporting, as described in Google's Privacy Policy and AdMob's data practices.

Analytics

We do not use analytics services and do not track how you use the app.

Children

Imposter is a general-audience party game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data retention and deletion

Game rooms — including all player names — are deleted from our servers when the host closes the game. To remove the random device identifier, simply delete the app.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
